Importing toolbar preferences

Your cpc toolbar preferences are stored in your local computer's registry.  You can export your registry settings by using the regedit tool.

  1. To begin click "Start > Run", type "regedit" and click "OK".
  2. This should open up the registry edit tool.  You'll need to expand the following path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cartesian Products".  Then right click the "Cartesian Products" folder and click "Export".
  3. You'll need to type in a name for your new file that we're about to export, in the "File name:" text box enter something intuitive like "cpc preferences" and save the file to your desktop or a location that you will be able to remember.
  4. Now you'll need to transfer this file to your other computer either by emailing it to yourself, or by putting it on a disk.
  5. Once the registry file has been transferred to the other computer, you can import the settings by double clicking the file.  The next time that you use the viewer, you should see that your toolbar preferences have been imported.
